Expensive and Unable to find Root of Problem

Posted bymatdor1on 11/13/2007

This is a very clean and modern shop. It is run by a very polite couple team and one clerk along with a mechanic or two. My experience was very prolonged. (6 weeks). Multiple Visits. :( I brought my Volvo S-80 in because the CHECK ENGINE light was on. After four visits and a multitude of different and very costly repairs, the CHECK ENGINE light was still on. After the 4th Visit, I went to another center (Volvo Dealer) who performed one repair and resolved the issue for a fraction of what I paid Scandinavian Service Incorporated. On the positive side, they ARE local, so I may use them again for minor repairs. Pros: Very Nice People. Clean facility. Convenient location. Cons: Unable to properly diagnosis root cause of mechanical problem. Appears understaffed. Hard to contact by phone during business hours - often goes to answering machine during the day.

Friendly Service But Unable to find Root of Problem

Friendly Service But sometimes disorganized

This is a very clean and outwardly appearing shop. It is run by a very polite husband and wife team and one clerk. My experience was somewhat prolonged. I brought my S-80 in because the CHECK ENGINE light was on. After four visits and a multitude of different and very costly repairs, the CHECK ENGINE light was still on. After the 4th Visit, I went to another center (Volvo Dealer) who performed one repair and resolved the issue for a fraction of what I was billed by Scandinavian Service Incorporated. On the positive side, they ARE local, so I would probably use them for minor repairs in the future.
